The guide will then take you to an old town where you will marvel at very old buildings that house an unmatched history of Kenya and its visitors. You will get the history of the first Mosque in Mombasa - The Mandry Mosque. You will appreciate deep insights into the establishment of Islam on the Kenyan Coast. Stop two You will then walk about 80 meters where you will appreciate the ACK Mombasa Memorial Cathedral, an Anglican church that has been built with architecture that looks like a Mosque. The builders of this unique church intended to blend in with the predominantly Muslim community. Stop three. You will then walk to the Iconic 100+ years Holy Ghost Cathedral, the seat of the Bishop of the Archdiocese of Mombasa. The first "Catholic mission" of Mombasa was founded in 1889 by Father Alexander le Roy, a Missionary of the Holy Spirit. You will appreciate the Historical Exhibition with over 100-year-old artifacts, and a natural coral grotto, and marvel at the hand-painted ceiling similar to Westminster Church in London.
