DESCRIPTION

Our day starts with a visit to slave caves, these are hidden caves where the Arabs used to hide slaves even after the ban of slave trade in 1873, learn about this chapter in the island's history with a guide, walk through slaves’ chamber, Slaves Root and the nature of the cave

Later visit Mkokotoni, one of the small ports of Zanzibar, linking Zanzibar with Pemba island and Tanga northern part of Tanzania, at the right time here, you can meet fishermen just from the sea, with their big catch of the day.

Proceeding further North, you will visit a local port and visit the dhow yard where most of the Zanzibar dhows are built, find out all about how these impressive sailing vessels are made and get the chance to see local craftsmen in action.

Later, enjoy lunch including one complimentary drink at a local restaurant. After that, experience a real turtle sanctuary view fresh water turtles and fish alike in an aquarium. here, turtles are treated and healed of any illnesses before being released to the ocean.
