Nai Nami Storytelling Tour in Nairobi With Nai Nami, you have the opportunity to experience Nairobi through the eyes of a street child. During a personal 3-hour walking tour in the city center (not slum) with max. two guests per guide, you will get inspired by the unforgettable life stories and learn from the street skills of your guides!

All of your guides come from the Mathare slum and dropped out of primary school. As a consequence, they raised themselves at an early age in the bustling streets of downtown Nairobi. They will make you experience their so-called former “home” and share with you their captivating life stories connected to the places you visit. Starting at Hilton Hotel, your guides will take you to Downtown, where they tell you how they ended up on the streets, show you how they survived through begging and hustling, teach you their street skills, give you real local insights, and inspire you with their ghetto-energy. Even more important, they will share with you how they transformed into reasonable young men, how they look back on their former lifestyle, and how they are nowadays trying to improve the situation of their families and friends. Nobody will be able to give you these insights the way they do. The tour is one-on-one (max. 2 guests per guide) to facilitate an inspiring exchange between you and your guides and to give you the opportunity to ask all your questions.

Nai Nami is a social enterprise with the aim to give disadvantaged youth from slums a future in life. We do this by creating jobs that build on their street skills and life stories.
