up close and learn about their behaviors and habitats.
Next is a visit to
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, open strictly between 11 am and 12 noon for a
one-hour window of opportunity to watch the orphaned elephants run out of the
forest in groups for their midday much-loved bottles of specialist milk formula
feed. Afterward, all the orphans gather for playtime. Some wallow in the mud,
while others challenge their friends to a wrestling match or indulge in a dust
bath. Prepare to be moved as One of the senior Keepers leads the public visit,
introducing you to each orphan, and sharing a bit about their unique stories
and personalities, from how they were rescued, and arrived at the orphanage to
how they received their names and nurtured by experienced team of keepers while
teaching you about wider conservation work across Kenya and always set aside
time for questions at the end watch the orphans enjoy their bottles and gather
for playtime from a variety of viewing platforms During this time, you will
have the incredible chance to mingle with the rescued baby and teenage
elephants which are later reintegrated into a protected wilderness when they
grow up. You'll also gain insights into the trust's plans for their future
