Hell's Gate National Park-Lake Naivasha National Park

Bike Tour & Wildlife Spotting

Upon arriving at the park, begin a 2-hour bike tour with a knowledgeable local guide. Watch for herds of Thompson’s gazelle, eland, zebra, and hartebeest as you ride. Hell’s Gate is one of the few destinations in Kenya where visitors can leave their vehicles and walk freely along its trails.

Guided Hike & Iconic Landmarks

Walk through the distinctive gorges, where narrow passageways and caves are sunk into sedimentary rock. Discover the famous filming location of Disney’s The Lion King. Admire rock formations such as Fischer's Tower and the Central Tower, where you can also participate in climbing. The park is home to over 100 species of birds, so keep an eye on the sky!

Maasai Community Visit

After a 1-hour walk, visit a local Maasai community to learn about traditional life and customs in the Great Rift Valley.

Lunch Break at Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp

We’ll then head to Lake Naivasha National Park, a paradise for bird lovers. At Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp, enjoy a lunch break and regain some energy before continuing our adventure.

Boat Ride on Lake Naivasha

Explore Lake Naivasha’s wildlife on a 1-hour boat ride, navigating the open waters and channels. Spot hippos just beneath the surface and marvel at the fantastic scenery. The lake is home to diverse birdlife, including African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbills, and little grebes.

Optional Visit to Crescent Island

Depending on time, you can also visit Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, hippos, antelope, wildebeest, and many birds. The animals were originally brought here for the filming of Out of Africa and have remained ever since.

Return to Nairobi

We will finish the tour with a drop-off back in Nairobi.
