Experience a lifetime firsthand introduction to a traditional marriage on this traditional wedding demo, get to be part of this beautiful event, and share the beautiful memories of the couple. 

DESCRIPTION and ITINERARY

Stop 1: 

After we have picked you up from the meeting point, the first stop will be the village tour where you will have a chance to see how Duruma people used to live traditionally, the customs of Duruma People, and how they used to conduct marriage. 

You will be allowed to access the local houses.

Stop 2:

The next stop is a holy shrine where the Duruma people believe that their ancestors were buried and the community usually believes that the the prayers made in that shrine will be heard by their gods. 

The guide will explain to you how the people used to do the prayers. 

Stop 3:

The next step is the traditional healer visit. 

The healer is a respected person in the community who has a wealth of knowledge to help people with problems with supernatural powers as well as using local herbs to cure diseases. 

This is a very memorable experience.

Stop 4:

At the next stop, we take you to the main dancing arena where we conduct our Duruma cultural wedding dances.  

We start with the welcoming dance then we pick the chosen couple on to the stage where they take their sit on a mat and the traditional wedding begins...

The traditional cultural elders officiate the couple while seated on a special mat where they exchange vows to rekindle your love.

Our tour guide will guide you through the traditional wedding and explain the history at each stage. 

You may also renew your marriage vows with a Duruma traditional wedding demo, Get to ride with the wedding party as they take the food to the groom's place. 

You get to enjoy Duruma traditional songs and learn some new dances.

*After that you have a choice to visit a traditional chef with yummy local meals then we will drop you back at the hotel with the tuk-tuk.
