Meet your guide at the meeting point and get a briefing on what to expect. Then, take a walk to the market. Walk through the market and learn how local people trade. Pass by a souvenir shop and a tailoring shop where you can sample deras (female Swahili-free dresses) and learn how they started their work. Stop at a local restaurant and try a variety of street food. Enjoy a cup of Swahili porridge, made of wheat and coconut, as a starter. Then, try chapati with beans, ugali with sukumawiki, and coconut rice with coconut fish as your main meals. Finish with a snack of Viazi Karai. Next, go to a local bar for a palm wine tasting.
