spectacular natural environments witnessing the beautiful sunrise over the
exotic landscapes of the African savannah and upon seeing the rugged, red soil
plains is your signal you’ve arrived at Tsavo East national park.

via Bachuma gate and embark on your first unforgettable game drive through this
semi-arid terrain of grasslands and savannahs in search of the red Elephants,
the “Man-eaters lions of Tsavo”, Buffalo, rhinos and leopards which are
considered as the famous BIG 5. Enjoy unobstructed views of this destination
and with the benefit of personalized attention from your local guide, listen as
they share fun facts about these animals, learn all about the animals that live
in the Tsavo East ecosystem how the species behave, how they feed, and how they
wonderfully coexist, with plenty opportunities to photograph
Apart from appreciating its wildlife attractions, you
will also get to see on the horizon, the breathtaking 290-kilometer-long Yatta
Plateau which is known as the world’s largest lava flow making it an adventure
unlike any other
Next is a visit to Galana River have your breath taken
away by the dazzling Lugard’s falls on the river and the sight of dust-red elephants
wallowing, rolling, and spraying each other with the midnight blue waters of
palm-shaded and calm crocodile-infested waters, making it one of the most
evocative images in the wild.
Next visit is the famous Aruba dam / Mudanda Rock, The
reservoirs created by these dams, natural and manmade are perfect viewing
sites, where lots of wildlife can be seen especially during the dry season
drinking water for their sustenance. The fact that the park is a dry and
unforgiving place the wild animals crowd these life-giving watering holes to
access water. Making animals more susceptible to predators, enables balancing
in the ecosystem whereby the weaker and the diseased are easy targets, only for
the fittest and those who have the best genetics, further the next generation.
Ensuring the species as a whole is more equipped to survive in this arid area.
The Mudanda Rock is a whale-backed rock tower above the natural dam, which acts
as a draw to thousands of elephants
