Kenya's largest national park
Split up into two seperate parks , Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks by the Mombasa - Nairobi railway. It is also one of the largest national parks in the world
TSAVO EAST FEATURES :
It is slightly larger and generally flat with dry plains which across the River Galana flows, Other features include Yatta Plateau and Lugard Falls.
Access:The parks can be accessed through several gates. Tsavo East can be accessed trough Manyani Gate, Voi Gate, Buchuma Gate and Sala Gate.
TSAVO WEST FEATURES :
More mountainous and wetter with swamps, Lake Jipe and the Mzima Springs. It is also known for bird life and it's large mammals like the Black Rhino, the Cape Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Hippo, Maasai Giraffe and the Masai lion. Other smaller animals like the Bush Baby, Hartebeest and Lesser Kudu can also be spotted.
Access:Tsavo West can be aaccessed through Mtito Gate, Man Eaters Gate, Chyulu Gate and one other near Maktau.
